Department of Trade and Industry’s Director Mr. Vo Van Cu said, the Southeastern industry and trade fair – handicraft exhibition 2014 has been the first large-scale fair held in Binh Duong New City with nearly 600 booths of over 250 companies, organizations from 20 provinces, cities within the country. Products introduced at the fair were mainly specialties in fields of industry, agriculture, commerce, high-quality services, and exported products.
During 6 days, the fair attracted more than 150,000 visitors. Total value of made transaction at the fair was over VND18 billion. In addition, businesses found partners and expanded distribution channels in Binh Duong.
Some products sold in large quantities were garments, consumer goods, handicraft goods, wooden furniture… Some companies signed memorandums or contracts of sale with partners, such as: machinery for agricultural production, art furniture ...
The fair opened up many opportunities helping organizations, businesses, and industries within and outside the province to boost trade and investment; meet, interact, exchange cooperation opportunities. At the same time, businesses created linkages, joint ventures, promoted their brand, expanded markets, developed business.
This was also an opportunity to introduce Binh Duong New City and provincial Administrative Center to numerous people and organizations. Through the fair, Binh Duong province made good propaganda, promoting the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to Vietnamese goods”.
