Joining in educational and vocational training development
Many Singaporean businesses have paid much attention to educational development. Aside from Kinderworld Group, many other corporations have involved in designing educational infrastructure. Notably, Surbana International Consultancy Company involved in designing Eastern International University (EIU) invested by Becamex IDC. Based on Surbana’s design, EIU is built modernly and ensured harmony between functional and convenient areas, meeting requirements of teaching and scientific research at an international standard university.
More importantly, Vietnam-Singapore Technical Training Center (now Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College) was established on consensus between former PM Vo Van Kiet and Singaporean PM Goh Chok Tong. On Aug. 14, 1997, the two sides signed a deal on the center’s operation, officially opening a new program in cooperation relationship on technical education and training between the two nations.
Applying practice-focused teaching methods, Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College has shrunk training duration of worker skill certificate degree 3/7 from 24 months to 6 months. As such, the college has timely met the businesses’ rising demand on technician. The college has so far affirmed international cooperation in the vocational training area. This is a fruitful cooperation between Vietnamese and Singaporean governments.
Designing key works
With advantage of urban infrastructure planning, many key projects in Binh Duong have recently lured zealous participation of Singaporean businesses. In the 1,000ha Binh Duong New City project has lured participation of Singaporean enterprises.
Of this, Binh Duong Integrated Politics and Administration Center is designed by Singapore’s CPG Group on environmental friendship.
The Center in the years to come will be a key works, welcoming hi-tech service models, spreading Binh Duong trademark and helping local people approach easily to a friendship and effective administration structure.
Solid friendship
Possibly speaking, investment cooperation of Singaporean businesses and great attention of the two governments have brought significant results on many aspects for Binh Duong, contributing to socio-economic development in the province in particular and Vietnam in general. This is a good achievement, beautifying friendship between Vietnam and Singapore.
Mrs. Leow Siu, the Singaporean general consul Lin in HCMC said that the good relationship has helped Singapore become one of big investors and trade partners leading in Vietnam.
Apart from education and vocational training and urban infrastructure development, Singaporean businesses have involved in medical field in Binh Duong province with the note-worthy works such as Hanh Phuc international hospital built on Singaporean standards.
