The provincial Taxation Department just had a 2nd direct dialogue 2010 with businesses to focus on 3 main groups of issues of idea contribution & supplement of tax policy; procedures of tax collection and behavior of tax staff.
A rep of P&G Co. in Thuan An district asked about investment incentives of business expansion for FDI companies and tax for exchange rate’s change. And there were numerous questions raised by other FDI companies. The queries were replied in detail by local taxation department.

A rep of a furniture company in Thuan An district, said “Our business was forced to suspend production, owing to fire, so our tax payment was also behindhand. After improving consequences, we paid fine money and tax money of more than VND1.6bil. However, owing to confusion, we paid the money into one among two accounts of the taxation. But, the taxation department often sends notification of fine and tax money to us”. Meanwhile, C&C Technology Solutions Co. asked why the taxation did not apply IT into tax declaration and payment.Vo Thanh Binh, vice head of the taxation department explained that “the first error was from the furniture business. The company did not inform the taxation of its mistake for timely adjustment. As for IT application in tax declaration and payment, the taxation department selected 300 out of 4,000 businesses to launch the pilot project. But unfortunately there were only 4 businesses applying the technology. We will keep improving the project but the business community should select proper solutions to apply IT into tax payment”.
The dialogue was considered as a great success with highlighted improvements.
