With a favorable position in the southern key economic zone, Binh Duong province is affirming its important role in regional connectivity and international linkage. The announcement of the World Trade Center Binh New City (WTC BDNC) project will create a motivation for the province to foster and boost regional connectivity.
Binh Duong-HCM city metro line promoted
Under the Binh Duong smart city project, the province has step by step built up a hi-quality traffic infrastructure system with regional connectivity while creating the local stable and favorable investment climate. Basically, Binh Duong has become a major industrial province of the whole country, holding a vital position in the southern key economic zone with considerable achievements in terms of renewal and international integration.
A miniature of the WTC BDNC
So far, the province has absorbed many FDI projects with the proportion of industrial manufacture accounting for more than 60% of the local GDP value. The whole province is home to 10,000 hectares for industrial parks and more than 38,000 domestic enterprises. The province also takes lead in FDI attraction with more than 3,700 FDI projects.
Along with achievements done over the past time towards the goal of creating a new motivation for the province on the way of smart city development and integration, provincial People’s Committee, in November, 2019, held a ceremony on the announcement of the WTC BDNC project. The event will create a motivation for the province to foster and boost regional connectivity.
The center covers 7 hectares with a favorable position in Binh Duong New City. It is designed with terminal under the Binh Duong-Suoi Tien metro line that will link with HCM city and the southern key economic zone...
Ininitially, the province is carrying out a project on boosting public traffic capacity and a bus rapid transit (BRT) system linking with HCM city. The project will run through My Phuoc-Tan Van express way, Pham Ngoc Thach street...
Creating new motivation for development
The WTC BDNCis a complex with a walking street, an international convention center, a hotel, a shopping center, offices..., contributing to bringing Binh Duong New City to a new height.
Nguyen Van Hung, CEO of Becamex IDC said that the WTC BDNC and Becamex IDC’s sic-tech industrial park will be two major pillars in building up a creative and innotative ecosystem, developing Binh Duong into a smart regional zone.They will also contribute to helping Binh Duong lure investment funds, scientists, economic experts towards a diversified and sustainable economy.
He believes that the WTC BDNC will be the highlight of the local trade-service development, creating a motivation for the evolution of the sector in the southern key economic zone.
The World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) consists of a diverse group of approximately 330 World Trade Centers (WTCs) worldwide dedicated to community economic development. Hence, the WTC BDNC will be an opportunity for Binh Duong to make connectivity, boost international investment cooperation.
Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said thatthe formation and development of the WTC BDNC will absorb more enterprises in industrial manufacture and service together with a large number of qualified human resources for the local smart city development towards the highest goal of improving the quality of people’s life.
Whilst, Scott Wan, Vice Chairman of the WTCA Association said that Binh Duong is the first locality in Vietnam to become the 331th member of WTCA and is expected to be a lever for service investors, small and medium enterprises to step by step approach and standardize their business processes, moving closer to world standards, connecting to global trade flows.
