Striving for the highest goal to achieve double-digit growth

On the afternoon of February 5, Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting with leaders from various departments and agencies to discuss the Investment Preparation Plan for Key Projects and the Plan to Promote Double-Digit Growth for 2025 in the province.

At the meeting, leaders from provincial Department of Transport and Department of Planning and Investment reported on the implementation progress and investment preparation for key projects in 2025, as outlined in the provincial Party Committee’s Resolution. These projects include upgrading and expanding DT749F road from Binh Tay bridge to National Highway 56B; the Song Be riverside road; Hieu Liem bridge; flood control reservoirs in the Suoi Cai and Suoi Giua areas and Phase 2 of the East-West Main Road from National Highway 1K to Tran Hung Dao street…

Mr. Minh has issued specific directives for each project, requiring departments and agencies to implement them under the principle of "clear objectives, clear responsibilities, clear tasks, clear timelines, clear accountability, clear products and clear results”. He emphasized the need to comply strictly with legal procedures for public investment, construction and bidding while assigning provincial Department of Planning and Investment to monitor, expedite and allocate funding for the projects.

Chairing the meeting on the Plan to Promote Double-Digit Growth in 2025, Mr. Minh stressed that this is a highly ambitious and challenging goal, but Binh Duong is fully committed to achieving it. With the strategic approach of "breakthrough growth for sustainable development" and "sustainable development to drive a new era of expansion", Binh Duong is determined to overcome challenges and strive for double-digit growth, in line with the overall objectives of the Southeastern region and the nation. This effort will not only foster comprehensive socio-economic development, but also enhance the quality of life and happiness of people.

The province has developed a growth scenario targeting a GRDP growth rate of at least 10% in 2025, with the industrial sector expected to grow over 12% and the service sector above 10% compared to 2024. The economic scale of the province is estimated to exceed VND 572.442 trillion while GRDP per capita is expected to surpass VND 195 million per year.To achieve the highest possible growth, Chairman of provincial People's Committee has instructed all departments and localities to effectively, comprehensively and consistently implement the Government’s Resolutions and economic recovery and development programs. He emphasized the need to promptly advise provincial People's Committee in issuing and executing support policies for production, business, and investment attraction as well as unblocking financial resources to drive economic growth.
