Early December 3, Maruichi Sun Steel Joint Stock Company (SUNSCO) under Maruichi Corporation, the Japan’s top producer in steel pipes held a ceremony to inaugurate its No.2 CGL & CCL factories in Di An town’s Tan Dong Hiep ward.
Covering nearly US$100mln, the No.2 CGL & CCL factories has a total investment capital of US$100mln. The No.2 CGL factory has the designed capacity of 23,500 tons of products a month while the figure is 8,000 tons of products a month for the No.2 CCL. They are specialized in manufacturing 55% AL-ZN galvanized steel coil, color coated steel coil and other steel products.
According to Wada Yuji, General Director of SUNSCO, 70% of the No.2 CGL & CCL factories will be used for export and the 30% remaining products for the domestic market.
Attending the opening ceremony, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Thanh Liem spoke highly of SUNSCO’s response to the province’s policy of calling for investment and decision for long-term investment in the province, greatly contributing to the province’s socio-economic development.
He added that the birth of the No.2 CGL & CCL factories would contribute to raising the capacity and development size of SUNSCO, creating hi-quality products for domestic and foreign markets.
