Support for cooperatives in export activities promoted

With assistance from all-level authorities, sectors and localities, cooperatives in Binh Duong are now able to develop more systematic production and business plans. They are building closed value chains that integrate production, processing and product consumption, enabling better control over production processes. This approach enhances their competitiveness with other economic sectors,  meeting export requirements more effectively.

An important factor driving the transformation of cooperatives is the Cooperative Law 2023, which opens up opportunities for large-scale production and business linkages. This enables cooperatives to join alliances and industry associations at home and abroad, thereby enhancing their connectivity with export markets. Le Minh Sang, Director of Tan My Fruit Cooperative in North Tan Uyen district shared that members have united to establish the cooperative with a focus on safe production practices, ecological sustainability, strengthening internal resources and adapting to market fluctuations. The cooperative actively supports its members and farmers in linking production and product consumption, which is a critical factor for cooperative products to access demanding markets such as Europe and Singapore.

To promote environmentally responsible production and business practices, Mr. Sang emphasized that products from enterprises, cooperatives and farms must undergo strict inspection processes, from input materials to production stages. Additionally, products should be evaluated against initial objectives after completion, prioritizing consumer benefits above all else. Representatives from various cooperatives noted that participating in export markets presents numerous challenges, particularly regarding capital, technology and market access. Overcoming these obstacles requires support from State policies, technical assistance from relevant stakeholders and continuous efforts by cooperatives to improve product quality and enhance their competitiveness in the market.
