Morning Oct 16th, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a meeting to summarize the implementation of agricultural accommodative policies in Binh Duong province in the 2012-2015. Mai Hung Dung, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, chaired the conference.
After 3 implementation years, loan assessing board approved 30 loans investing in agricultural production. These projects were assessed by provincial Investment Development Fund with a total capital of more than VND195.4 billion including VND76.5 billion of loan requests. After examination, funded projects achieved high productivity, ensured debt repayment capability and reinvestment in the next stage.
The conference also adopted the draft regulation on agricultural production promotion towards urban agriculture, high-tech agriculture in Binh Duong province in the 2016 - 20120. Accordingly, loan interest rate was no more than 40% minimum lending rate.
Speaking at the conference, Mai Hung Dung asked competent agencies to strengthen propaganda and set up lending, assessing procedures in order for all individuals and organizations to be informed and best served.
