Refined infrastructure

Dau Tieng district People’s Committee has just organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the upgrading and expansion of road DT.749A section passing through the center of Long Hoa commune. This road is about 30km long, connecting from Ben Cat town through Bau Bang district to Dau Tieng district in the East - West direction. After being upgraded and expanded, this road will meet the travel needs and economic development of the northern localities of the province.

Mr. Mai Ba Truoc, Secretary of the District Party Committee of Dau Tieng, shared that Dau Tieng is making efforts to accelerate the progress of planning, construction, and development of infrastructure, creating a foundation to attract investment and promote economic development. In the immediate future, the district will focus on early implementation of connecting roads to Ben Cat, Bau Bang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Tay Ninh province. These roads, once completed, will be important bridges attracting investors to Dau Tieng.

Recently, the province also approved the master plan for the Truong Industrial Park with an area of 700 hectares in Bau Bang. Currently, this industrial park is undergoing procedures to complete infrastructure, ready for a clean site to attract new capital. According to Mr. Vo Thanh Giau, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bau Bang district, up to now, the total industrial land area in the district has been expanded by more than 1,687 hectares. The transportation system of the district has also been invested in, upgraded, expanded, gradually perfected in the East-West, North-South direction connecting regions, areas, forming a comprehensive transportation network, smooth connectivity creating favorable conditions for attracting investment, and economic development.

Approved the planning of 5 Tam Lập 1, 2, 3, 4 and Phước Hòa Industrial Clusters with a total area of over 307 hectares, Phú Giáo district also promises to be an attractive investment destination for advanced industrial sectors. To date, Tam Lập 1 Industrial Cluster with an area of over 68 hectares has been implemented for construction and has attracted investors to carry out projects. Especially, at the Tam Lap 2 industrial cluster, the SEP Group (South Korea) wants to invest over 200 million US dollars to establish a carbon-neutral industrial park specializing in the footwear industry, the first carbon-reducing infrastructure in Vietnam on an area of 180 hectares.

It can be seen that the infrastructure of industrial zones, industrial clusters, and transportation infrastructure in the northern districts is being completed, ready to welcome businesses and investors. Mr. Pham Trong Nhan, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, said that the provincial People's Committee and departments are urgently studying and establishing policies and plans step by step, with specific timelines for businesses to carefully prepare for relocation or conversion of functions, as well as resettlement in new areas. This, along with the provincial planning implementation, is truly a major reconstruction effort by 2030, with a vision towards 2050.

The driving force for new growth

The policy of relocating production facilities from the southern urban areas to the northern region is currently one of the difficult and complex issues of the province. Implementing this project cannot avoid affecting the production and business activities of enterprises, investors, as well as the lives of a portion of the workforce. However, this is an inevitable trend, and the ultimate goal of the province is still to ensure maximum benefits for businesses and the people.

In order to achieve the economic and social development goals in 2024, Binh Duong focuses on implementing solutions towards the goal of recovery and achieving a fairly high growth rate after the crisis. The province continues to promote innovation and diversify eco-industrial parks, high-tech industrial clusters, ensuring the requirements of the province and the Southeast region. Research on shifting heavy industries to the North, strengthening the connection of industrial zones and clusters to form linked industrial clusters. Developing modern industrial parks, services, and urban areas and high-tech industrial parks, while researching and developing non-customs zones, free trade zones, aiming for exports, job creation, and attracting investment from countries around the world. Strive for the province's industrial production index in 2024 to increase by over 8.7% compared to the same period in 2023.

The Department of Planning and Investment is actively promoting the implementation of regional connectivity infrastructure, creating momentum for spillover effects. To create a breakthrough in development, in recent times, the province has actively coordinated with other provinces and cities in the region to build and upgrade transportation infrastructure, promoting regional linkages. On infrastructure, alongside the two economic driving axes National Highway 13, My Phuoc - Tan Van road and inter-regional connecting routes such as Vanh Dai 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, Vanh Dai 4 of Ho Chi Minh City. Binh Duong is promoting additional investment in many key projects in the northern area such as the expressway from Duc Hoa to Chon Thanh, the expressway from Ho Chi Minh City to Chon Thanh, the road creating force from Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang.
