As an agricultural commune, Tan An in TDM city is making remarkable changes in the process of new rural construction.

people’s consensus.
To achieve the above result, since April, Tan An commune has sped up dissemination of information about new rural construction via many forms, including installing 3 panels with the slogan of “Residents in Tan An commune joining hands to implement new rural construction”; delivering over 3,000 forms of realizing 19 criteria on new rural construction to the local households…
The commune’s rural traffic system has been fully upgraded to well serve the local people’s demand for traveling. It is expected that 95% of the commune’s roads will be covered by asphalt by the end of the year.
Noticeably, Tan An commune has seen positive change in agricultural production since implementing new rural construction. Pham Minh Hung, vice-chairman of the communal People’s Committee said that more than 200 out of 450 hectares of fallow farm land along the Sai Gon River have been improved for growing fruit, rubber trees, sugar canes. With the current situation plus in-field traffic system to be upgraded in the coming time, the remaining 250 hectares will be improved for agricultural production.
Residents herein have also attached special importance to breeding animals with high economic value like tortoises, iguanas…along with the local urban agricultural program being developed with the models of growing orchid, vegetable sprout, mushroom… on a total area of 1.6 hectares.
Apartedly, Tan An commune sees growth in trade-services. The whole commune is now home to more than 500 trade-service facilities with the total retail sales revenue of commodities and services reaching around VND25bln, contributing to raising the local people’s average income to VND21mln per capital per year. The number of the local poor households is only 75 or 2.34% of total.
Mr.Hung said that Tan An commune will strive to achieve all criteria on new rural construction in the soonest time. But, new rural construction in the commune is facing some hindrances on zoning and environment for change.
Possibly speaking, the national target program on new rural construction has brought Tan An commune positive changes. Along with the orientation of turning into the ward in the coming time, it is sure that Tan An will change towards civilization, modernity and sustainable development.
