Thanks to the great impacts of the national target program on new rural construction, Tan Hiep commune in Phu Giao district now sees many obvious changes.
Positive changes
Tan Hiep is one of the province’s communes selected for successfully building new rural areas by 2015.
With the high determination of the local people and
government, Tan Hiep commune has gained positive results in the process of
implementing the program. The commune last year achieved 7 out of 19 criteria
on new rural construction.

Tan Hiep commune is now home to more than 20,000 hectares of rubber. Most rubber-growing areas herein have developed stably and brought high income to the local people.
The local breeding farms have been developed with the big size in a methodical way. This is one of the important elements bringing sustainable development to the local agricultural sector.
The development on farm economy has also contributed to raising income for the local people.
In terms of socio-cultural fields, the commune has reaped the highest results, especially in education. The local schools have been built spaciously so far this year at the local pupils’ demand for learning.
The average income of the local people is now more than VND20mln per person per year.
Further overcoming difficulties
Like many other communes, Tan Hiep commune now faces certain difficulties in the process of realizing the program on new rural construction.
Vu Ly Hai, chairman of Tan Hiep communal People’s Committee said that the local government will further team up with relevant agencies to open vocational training classes which are in line with the real demand of the locality, including those on how to tap rubber latex, grow clean vegetable…
For adjusting the ratio of laborers joining agro-forestry and fishery fields, the local government will focus on mechanizing some fields, promote trade-services, encourage and make favorable conditions for the local laborers to take jobs at the local firms.
He also added that Tan Hiep commune would like to receive timely help and attention from sectors and departments to be able to successfully implement the program.
With positive changes over the past time plus the high determination of the local government and people, it is believed that the program on rural new construction in Tan Hiep commune will be implemented more effectively in the coming time.
