Phu Giao district’s Tan Long commune has spent 10 years for the building of a new countryside. The commune is upholding its experience to continue successfully building the new countryside in the new period.
Change in many aspects Tan Long commune now has many highlights in terms of socio-economic infrastructure, including its school systems.
The commune is still an agricultural locality with agricultural production accounting for 78% of the local economic structure. The commune’s strong point lies in rubber trees with total area reaching 1,800 hectares, greatly contributing to creating jobs for rural laborers and increasing income for locals. The average income of people herein is about VND19mln per capita per year.
In addition, Tan Long commune has paid attention to the development of farm economy. The whole commune is now home to 33 perennial tree-growing farms and 20 animal husbandry ones with the annual revenue of more than VND750mln.
Since 2011, Tan Long commune has been selected as a locality for implementation of the building of a new countryside. Its experience in the building for a new countryside over the past ten years will continue to be fundamental premises for better development in the task in the new period
Upholding experience
Tan Long commune has so far met 9 out of 19 criteria of the new rural area and fulfilled 26 out of 38 set targets in the field.
Apartedly, Tan Long commune has defined concrete measures for the building of a new countryside in the 2011 and 2013 period and orientations till for 2020. The commune will further develop its socio-economic infrastructure; well realize the democratic regulations at grassroots level; speed up its economic structure shift; foster the models of sci-tech application and transfer; boost the development of farm produce-processing and purchasing facilities; consolidate the models of helping each other in economic development…
With the above mentioned efforts, it is believed that Tan Long commune will be successful in the program of the building of a new countryside in the new period.
