Over the past time, Tan Uyen town gained considerable results in infrastructure construction based on industrial-urban development. This is also the foundation for the town to successfully realize a target of “Building up Tan Uyen urban area in a synchronous and sustainable way in the 2015-2020 period and in the following years” under the spirit of the Resolution of the town’s 9th Party congress.
Thanks to the integral efforts by the local authorities at all levels and people, Tan Uyen town’s socio-economic infrastructure development over the past time brought the locality a new image. The town also excelled at upgrading key streets, making urban rejuvenation and rural roads. Till early this year, there have been 19 out of 21 town-level streets upgraded with a total length of 73.47 km. Some key streets invested by the province are under construction. The results in infrastructure development have created the basic foundation for the town to successfully carry out the target of becoming a second-class urban area by 2020. Nguyen Thi Kim Mai, Vice-Secretary of the town’s Party Committee cum Chairwoman of the town’s People’s Committee said that the town’s People’s Committee has set forth a synchronous infrastructure development plan, striving to reach criteria of a second-class urban area by 2020. Uyen Hung ward is defined as a place meeting standards of urban civilization of the town. The town will further focus on infrastructure development to serve the local industrial parks and compounds’ requirements; promote trading-service and residential areas in association with protecting the green and friendly environment; perfect urban criteria that are still weak to step by step form up a third-class urban area between 2016 and 2018 and strive to become a second-class urban area by 2020; strive to develop Uyen Hung ward with the title of “civilized urban ward” in 2018 and other wards of Tan Phuoc Khanh, Thai Hoa, Khanh Binh, Tan Hiep, Thanh Phuoc with the title in 2020.
The town has put forward some concrete measures to achieve the above mentioned targets. Accordingly, the town will mobilize all resources to build up a synchronous technical infrastructure system; make public plans approved, helping locals and businesses feel secure in production-business, promoting the local socio-economic development…; give priority to the local socio-economic infrastructure development in order to absorb investment projects and promote urban development in the 2015-2020 period with synchronous and modern orientations to 2030. Along with infrastructure construction to serve the local urban development process, the town will attach special importance to step by step building up civilized urban lifestyle.
