Tan Uyen puts focus on infrastructure construction

Infrastructure invested in a synchronous way

Based on the local real demand, Tan Uyen town has focused on infrastructure investment in the fields of health, education…while step by step perfecting the local traffic system, especially giving priority to key works to socio-economic development.

Works on urban rejuvenation in Uyen Hung ward, verdure along main streets of the town and some other urban development works have been perfected. Residential areas have also been formed up under the local plan. Along with this, the town is now home to 2 trade-residential areas and 9 market projects, 7 of which have been put into operation, well meeting the local people’s demand.

Tan Uyen town has also attached special importance to basic construction to create favorable conditions for the local investment attraction and industrial development. In fact, the progress of key works in the town has been carried out on schedule. The town has been allocated more than VND164bln for basic construction in 2015. And so far, the town’s total volume of basic construction implemented has reached VND100.5bln.

Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s People’s Committee said that despite limited State budget, the town has always paid attention to urban rejuvenation and investment. The town has received support from the province in building key works like DT746 street, DT747 street…The town has also associated planning work with urban rejuvenation at the local demand for infrastructure; attached special importance to absorbing projects in the fields of urban, trade-service development…

Creating momentum for economic development

Tan Uyen town is now home to 2 industrial parks of more than 1,465 hectares and 3 industrial compounds of 261 hectares. So far, they have absorbed 606 domestic projects with a total registered capital of more than VND7.471trillion and 332 FDI ones with a total registered capital of more than US$2.19bln.

The town’s industrial and urban space has also been expanded with the birth of industrial and residential areas, contributing to promoting the local technical infrastructure. In addition, the local space of ecotourism has been zoned in wards and communes along with Dong Nai bridge, including Bach Dang, Thanh Hoi…

Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa, Head of Uyen Hung ward’s quarter 6 said that there were obvious changes in terms of the local economics and infrastructure. The local material and spiritual lives were also improved. All were seen as the local great successes in the construction and development cause over the past time.

In the coming time, Tan Uyen town will further uphold achievements done, attach special importance to infrastructure development while strengthening a task of calling for investors to promote the local comprehensive economic development.

The town has also set 2015’s target of reaching a 12% growth in industrial production value, a 18.6% growth in trade-service value compared to 2014. The local economic structure is 67.22% in industry, 29.62% in trade-services and 3.16% in agriculture. The town will also strive to achieve VND14.968bln in total production value. The average income per capita herein will be VND51.3mln, up 14% compared to 2014.
