Over the past time, Tan Uyen town’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development made efforts in implementing the State’s policies on collective economy, thereby contributing to the local collective economy.

As planned, from now to year-end, the town will strive to develop additional 3 cooperatives, 3 cooperative groups while ensuring all the local cooperatives with operation under the Law on Cooperative in 2012. The average income of laborers at town-based cooperatives will be VND6million-VND6.5million per person per month.

Khanh Binh environmental service cooperative is appreciated as one of the town’s effective models. Established on December 11, 2017, the cooperative now has 10 members and 22 laborers with the average income of around VND9million per month. It is responsible for collecting people’s daily waste in Uyen Hung and Khanh Binh wards, actively contributing to the local environmental protection.
In the first half of 2019, the town’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development coordinated with provincial Cooperative Alliance, Sub-Department of Rural Development, Farmers’ Association to organize 8 training courses on collective economy for 563 members. Nguyen Huu Tri, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of the town’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development said that over the past six months, the town’s collective economy continued achieving positive changes with awareness of sectors and authorities at all levels about this field improved.
The town’s People’s Committee opportunely advised the Steering Board on strengthening its organization, guiding cooperatives, cooperative groups to work effectively. In addition, the town had good coordination with provincial Cooperative Alliance to carry out inspection tours about the activities of the local cooperatives for timely support.
To continue improving the effectiveness of collective economy under the Law on Cooperative in 2012, the town’s People’s Committee also worked with provincial Cooperative Alliance to organize a training course on collective economy in 2019 with nearly 150 participants, including members of the Steering Boards at all levels, leaders of quarters, owners of farmsteads, good farmers…
Cooperative model in association with linkage chain
For the rest of the year, the town’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development will continue well realizing the Party and State’s policies and guidelines on collective economy; guide cooperatives to further work under the Law on Cooperative in 2012 in association with improving the quality and effectiveness of production-business activities.
The Steering Boards at all levels will create favorable conditions for cooperatives, cooperative groups to get loans for production development. The town will also strive to develop at least 3 cooperatives and 3 cooperative groups by the end of the year.
Mr.Tri has also asked for sectors and localities to improve propaganda activities among officials, Party members and people, raising their awareness of collective economy; required the town’s Division of Finance and Planning to be responsible for the guidance of using the national information system on cooperative registration in pursuit of the Business Registration Management Agency’s Circular No.109/DKKD-TH dated May 10, 2019; give advice on inspecting the activities of the Steering Boards at all levels of the town…
In addition, the town’s People’s Committee has suggested provincial Cooperative Alliance to launch emulation movements among cooperatives, cooperative groups, consider loans for farming households, especially members of cooperatives, cooperative groups…
According to Nguyen Van Toan, Deputy Head of provincial Cooperative Alliance, Tan Uyen town needs to further make efforts in taking solutions in a synchronous way in order to fulfill the local targets on collective economic development in 2019; strive to develop a cooperative model in association with a linkage chain on production and consumption. Provincial Cooperative Alliance will create advantageous conditions for the town to organize delegations to visit outstanding cooperatives in order to learn experience from them.
The town is now home to 19 cooperatives and 22 cooperative groups on agriculture, trade-services, transportation, construction, home industry, environment…Since early this year, town-based cooperatives have got access to VND7.3billion from provincial Fund for Collective Economic Development, helping them promote their production-business activities, take part in socio-economic plans and programs.
