Tan Uyen town’s socio-economic situation in 2018 continued growing up. Particularly, the average growth of all sectors in the town reached 13.4% compared to 2017. The town’s value of industrial production and construction was VND21.8trillion while trade-service value gained VND8.78trillion. The town’s GRDP per capita was VND120million per year.

Ensuring sustainable growth
Tan Uyen town’s People’s Committee has set 2019’s overall targets, including ensuring sustainable growth; further perfecting socio-economic infrastructure facilities, promoting urban-service development; guaranteeing social welfare, improving the spiritual and material lives of people; continuing well realizing administrative reform, strengthening national defence-security, stabilizing social order and safety.
To achieve the above-mentioned targets, Ho Quang Diep, Secretary of Tan Uyen town’s Party Committee stressed that the town’s People’s Committee needs to bend on carrying out some contents, comprising of further boosting investment attraction towards green construction, waiting in front to welcome new investment waves; focusing on implementing a roadmap upgrading 4 communes of Vinh Tan, Tan Vinh Hiep, Phu Chanh and Hoi Nghia into wards in order to build the town into a second-class city while improving the quality of criteria of the new-style rural construction program in Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi communes to enhance the quality’s people’s life…
In terms of urban rejuvenation, the town needs to well handle issues on environment, raise the quality of private units collecting waste; well realize public investment, focus on site clearance and compensation for key works…The town will also continue effectively carrying out policies to ensure social welfare; well do policies on poverty reduction, create jobs for laborers; improve the quality of schools and teaching staff, strengthen prevention of diseases; take solutions to improve people’s quality of enjoying cultural life, upholding the use of cultural-sports centers in communes and wards; promote socialization in education, health…
Regarding Party building, the town will bend on well realizing cadre work, inspection and supervision; enhance the quality of People’s Councils at all levels; improve the operational contents and forms of Fatherland Front Committees (FFCs) at all levels and other mass organizations; successfully organize the town’s 9th FFC congress and 7th Youth Federation congress for the 2019-2024 tenure; well hold activities in celebration of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019…
For 2019’s targets, the town will strive to get the average growth of all sectors at 13.5%-13.7%. The town’s value of industrial production-construction will increase by 11.9%; trade-services by 19%; agro-forestry-fishery by 1%. The GRDP per capita will be VND110million per year, up 16.8%. The town’s total State budget collection will be more than VND2.31billion. There will be 100% of households in use of electricity and clean water. The town will also create jobs for 220 laborers; help 28-31 poor households escape poverty under the province’s poverty line for the 2018-2020 period. There will also additional 2 schools, namely Thai Hoa B primary school and Khanh Binh secondary school, meeting national standards….
