Industrial manufacture, services further absorbing investment capital
Over the past 9 months, Tan Uyen town gained positive results in most fields. The town’s industrial production value was estimated at VND18.08trillion, up 7.49% compared to the same period last year. Of these, the domestic investment sector was VND5.48trillion, up 9.97% against the same period last year while the foreign investment sector reached VND12.6trillion, up 6.45% over the same period last year. The town’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was estimated at VND 9.21trillion, up 15.56% compared to the same period last year.

Also during the period, provincial People’s Committee granted business registration certificates to 142 businesses in the town with total registered capital of more than VND4.75trillion. So far, the whole town has had a total of 1,306 businesses licensed with total registered capital of more than VND15.17trillion. There were 8 FDI businesses licensed with total registered capital of US$8million over the past 9 months, bringing the total number of FDI businesses in the town to 605 with total registered capital of more than US$3.88trillion.
In addition, the town’s sector of trade-services continued obtaining prospects along with industrial development in line with the local development orientations. The town’s goods market further reached stability. The town granted business registration certificates to 930 cases capitalized at VND409.5billion. Especially, there were 23 organizations, individuals registering for investment with total capital of around VND6trillion at the town’s conference on trade-service promotion…
According to Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s People’s Committee, the town will further attract and arrange investment projects in line with the local urban and industrial development orientations, ensuring regulations of the province and the locality. The town will also continue rechecking the implementation of private projects for timely support. Besides, the town has focused on realizing the local plan on public investment for 2020.
Attaching special importance to environmental protection
Over the past time, the town tightened control over environmental protection. The local functional agencies carried out inspection tours, detected and handled 10 cases with total fine of more than VND1.55billion. The town has also implemented a project on inspecting, assessing the real situation of waste water resources into Cai stream and the local main affluents; drastically taken solutions to stop animal husbandry in residential areas, facilities trading in wasted materials that do not ensure regulations; well realized waste collection and treatment, protecting the environment.

Nguyen Van Danh, Secretary of Tan Uyen town’s Party Committee affirmed that along with economic development, the town has paid attention to environmental protection, step by step building up a civilized city, ensuring the local urban beauty, the spiritual and material lives of the local people.
