Tan Uyen town is now a locality having robust socio-economic development with modern and environmentally friendly investment attraction. Leaders of the town have always listened to contributive ideas by people and enterprises to be able to develop the town into a “living-worthy” city.
Favorable investment climate
Tan Uyen town now has 2 industrial parks (Ips), including South Tan Uyen IP and the expanded VSIP 2 together with 3 industrial compounds (Ics), namely Tan Hiep IC, Uyen Hung IC and Phu Chanh IC, with 1,900 hectares in total and the rate of land tenancy of 64.9%. They have so far absorbed 362 enterprises, comprising of 112 domestic enterprises with a total investment capital of more than VND3.26trillion and 250 FDI ones capitalized at US$5.54billion.

Since early this year, provincial People’s Committee has granted business registration certificates to 61 domestic enterprises operating in the town. The figure has brought the total number of domestic enterprises herein to 956 with a total registered capital of more than VND9.72trillion. Also, there have been additional 18 FDI enterprises licensed, lifting the total number of FDI enterprises in the town up 553.
The town has constantly upgraded the local infrastructure system. As of October, 2018, the town disbursed VND269.9billion in investment capital for new infrastructure construction or 60.88% of the year’s plan with such works as
Phan The Hai, General Director of Trieu Phu Loc Joint Stock Company said: “Thanks to having a friendly apparatus of government with policies at society’s development requirements, Binh Duong is seen as a good land in investment attraction. 12 years ago, we came to Tan Uyen to operate with several tens of laborers and there are now thousands of laborers. This shows that Tan Uyen not only has a favorable investment climate, is but also a “living-worthy” place.
Friendly government for the local development
Tan Uyen town’s People’s Committee has teamed up with provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consultancy to implement 2018’s project on industrial promotion in Tan Hiep ward, aiming to support small and medium-sized enterprises to change and enhance their production efficiency at market’s competitiveness.
Over the past 10 months, the town’s People’s Committee also launched and organized a program on the selection of typical rural industrial products in 2018 at 8 local production facilities, enterprises and cooperatives. As a result, provincial People’s Committee recognized 10 products of the town as district-level typical rural industrial ones. Among them, 5 won provincial-level certificates and 4 were recommended for the regional selection.
Nguyen Dinh Thi, Director of Kim Sang Electronics Co.Ltd. said that thanks to the support of the town’s People’s Committee, provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consultancy, the company has improved its production technology for better development. Ngo Quang Su, Vice-Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s People’s Committee affirmed that leaders of the town have always accompanied the development of enterprises. The business community is seen as a major motivation for the local socio-economic development.
Noticeably, the Ministry of Construction has just approved a project recognizing Tan Uyen as a third-class city. This is the joyful and the opportunity for the local Party, government and people to further make efforts in order to build the locality into a living-worth city.
