According to People's Committee of Tan Uyen town, in the coming time, the town will continue to maintain the percentage of households using electricity at 100%, ensuring stable electricity supply for daily life, production and business of people and companies in the area. The town also focuses on upgrading electricity lines for agricultural production in Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi commune; The rate of households using clean water and hygienic water to be high; Domestic wastewater to be collected and treated, ensuring environmental hygiene, community health and safety.
Currently, the project of wastewater treatment plant and collection system at Bung Cu Temple, invested by BIWASE, is constructing works and treatment system. Town leaders instructed localities to dredge streams and canals in the area under their management in order to well serve the water drainage. So far, localities of the town have dredged Rach Tre bridge, Ong Giang canal, Cau canal, Tay Trang dam, Thong Ban canal, Ba To canal.
Ngo Quang Su, Vice Chairman of the town People's Committee, said that sections of DT746, DT747A, DT747B, DT742 through the town and main streets in the area had the completed public lighting system, helping the town to become a civilized and modern city, ensuring security order and traffic safety. The city is investing, raising the rate of lit major streets up to 99.48% (in 2016 was 95%); performing the program of building lighting system for small roads and alleys by joint efforts of the State and people to raise the ratio of lit roads, residential areas up to 55%.
In order to improve the material and spiritual life of people, Tan Uyen town continues to invest in green parks and gardens on public lands in communes and wards; accelerating the greenery planting in public works. After more than two years, the area of urban greeneries increased from 7.03m2/person to 7.4m2/person (class-3 urban standard is from 7-10 m2/person).
In the fields of health, education, culture – society, the town completed and put into use schools such as Phu Chanh Kindergarten, Uyen Hung B Primary School, Hoi Nghia Primary School, Phu Chanh Primary School, Nguyen Quoc Phu Secondary School; Phu Chanh Secondary School, Hoa Hong Kindergarten, Thai Hoa B Primary School, Khanh Binh Secondary School, Thanh Hoi Primary School, Tan Hiep Secondary School... Meanwhile, cultural and historical sites were renovated and put into operation such as Vinh Loi war zone, stadium, Phu Chanh commune Cultural and Sports Center…The town also completed Khanh Binh General Clinic, Tan Phuoc Khanh Medical Center, Vinh Tan Medical Center; 200-bed Tan Uyen General Hospital...
