Tan Uyen district yesterday held a press conference informing the media in and out of the province about the local socio-economic performance, national defence-security in 2013 and orientations, tasks for 2014.
Accordingly, the district’s total production value in 2013 was estimated at more than VND13.61trillion or 97.6% of the year’s plan, up 12.86% compared to 2012. Of these, industrial production value reached more than VND7.88trillion or 96.71% of the year’s plan. Production value of agriculture and forestry achieved nearly VND1.78trillion or 100.26% of the year’s plan. The average GDP per capita reached VND37.5mln or 93.75% of the year’s plan.
The district also absolutely dealt with compensation and site clearance for some projects; introduced jobs to 7,765 laborers; worked out 5 rural traffic works with a total length of 34,234 meters; built and upgraded 13 gratitude houses and built 29 great unity houses. Estimatedly, the district has so far had 124 out of 183 poor households with the income surpassing the poverty line or 110% of the year’s plan…
