Over the past nine months, Tan Uyen town’s industrial production and trade-services continued gaining high growth. The town has made efforts in economic development that is linked with environmental protection.
High economic growth
Tan Uyen district’s industrial production value over the past nine months was estimated at VND16.82trillion, up 12.04% compared to the corresponding period last year.
Regarding investment attraction, the town had additional 169 domestic enterprises granted business registration certificates with total registered capital of more than VND1.1trillion, up 108 against the same period last year. The town has so far absorbed 1,140 domestic enterprises with total registered capital of more than VND11.11trillion. Whilst, the town has also lured 582 FDI enterprises with total registered capital of US$3.81million.
Over the past nine months, the town’s trade-service value was estimated at more than VND7.97billion, up 20.7% against the same period last year. The town’s goods market remained stable and diverse at people’s demand for shopping.
The town’s agricultural production value was estimated at VND433billion, up 1.2% compared to the same period last year. The town’s functional agencies also regularly made inspection tours over irrigation works, ensuring irrigation for the local agricultural production…
Attaching special importance to environmental protection
The town’s People’s Committee well realized a plan on land use while closely tightening State management on land over the past nine months. The town also granted 97 land-use right certificates to 91 households with total area of 17.35 hectares…

The local functional agencies excelled at implementing the 2019 plan on environmental protection, the 2019 plan on the organization of environmental protection with the theme of “Action, breakthrough, effectiveness”; opportunely promulgated plans on inspection and settlement in the domain of land and environment; seriously implemented the local solid waste collection and treatment…
The town also held a ceremony to launch the World Environment Day, June 5; attached special importance to improving the effectiveness of Uyen Hung ward’s waste classification project; organized a training course on protection of natural resources for enterprises and localities.
Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of the town’s People’s Committee said that the town will continue closely controlling over mineral exploitation and environmental protection; regularly monitor and opportunely deal with wrong organizations, individuals in the fields of environment, exploitation, transport and trading of mineral resources; instruct sectors, localities to absolutely solve facilities illegally trading wasted materials; assess the effectiveness of Uyen Hung ward’s Project on waste classification at source.
The town will also implement State management in construction and urban order in a synchronous and effective way; seriously panelize cases encroaching on pavement and roads; recheck infrastructure facilities of illegally housing areas built before January 10, 2014 for consideration by provincial Department of Construction to ask for provincial People’s Committee to approve a policy on the pilot implementation of upgrading these infrastructure facilities.
Such these apart, the town will well realize urban planning, regularly inspect and monitor over the process of realizing plans approved; continue making urban rejuvenation, infrastructure investment and improving the quality of third-class urban criteria.
