Spearheading fields with good results
In the first months of 2019, Tan Uyen town’s total value of industrial production and construction was estimated at VND9.82trillion, up 11.8% compared the same period last year. The district’s trade-service value was VND5.10trillion, up 20.6% against the corresponding period last year. The district’s agro-forestry-fishery production value was VND241billion, up 0.8% over the same period last year. In addition, the district’s total State budget collection was more than VND1.59trillion.

The town is now home to 20 cooperatives, 23 cooperative groups on agriculture, trade-services, transportation-construction and home industry. The town has also absorbed 998 enterprises with total registered capital of more than VND10trillion…
In the first months of the year, the town’s goods market was very abundant with stable prices, ensuring the local demand for shopping. The district also attached special importance to stabilizing the market and boosting control over the market. In February alone, the town coordinated with Co.opmart Binh Duong supermarket to implement a market price stabilization program, serving the local people’s demand for shopping.
Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of the town’s People’s Committee said that since early this, the town’s People’s Committee has conducted sectors, the People’s Committees of communes, wards to be been proactive to set up their plans to realize the local targets on socio-economic development, national defence-security. The town has also raised the role and responsibility of sectors, localities, especially leaders in advising the local People’s Committee on realizing leadership work in all fields.
Attaching special importance to environmental protection, urban rejuvenation
Along with economic development, the town attached special importance to environmental protection over the past time.
There is now 95.78% of solid waste in the town collected and treated. The town also regularly organizes activities on environmental protection with the motto of “action, breakthrough, effectiveness” in response to the World Environment Day (June 5)…
Realizing the importance of the “green lung” of an industrial locality, the town has well realized forest management and protection. Upon this, since early this year, there have been no reports of forest fire in the town. The town’s area for various plants has also reached stability. In addition, the town ensured supply of water for the local agricultural production.
Such these apart, the town has continued well realizing urban rejuvenation and planning; rechecked the local urban criteria for investment to meet criteria of a third-class city; concentrated on site clearance for key works; especially instructed localities, functional agencies to handle issues pertaining to administrative procedures in the land domain.
