Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s People's Committee said that for Tan Uyen town to be eligible to become a city in 2023, from a standard third-class urban area, the town has actively adjusted its planning and exploited resources for industrial manufacture - high quality services. Over the past time, the town’s investment in the construction of functional zones and urban technical infrastructure was basic in line with the local planning. The town’s favorably implemented urban construction investment projects have gradually changed the local appearance and landscape space, attracting a large number of laborers to live and work, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
As of now, Tan Uyen town has achieved all 5 criteria of a city under provincial management, specifically in terms of population size, natural area, number of affiliated administrative units, urban classification, structure and socio-economic development.
