Many indicators grow
During the first 9 months 2015, total retail sales of goods and services was estimated at VND47,000 billion, accounting for 65.4%; industrial production value was VND11,000 billion, achieving 86% year-target; total tax revenue was nearly VND899 billion, achieving 86.99% target set by City People’s Council Resolution…
Along with sustained economic growth, TDM City also mobilized resources for socio-economic infrastructure construction. Investments in capital construction and land clearance, urban management were focused.

In particular, the city completed clearance and offset of lands for the construction of key projects, such as: My Phuoc - Tan Van route, DT741 road, hospitals… In addition, the city regularly repairs and upgrades transport infrastructure, public lighting system; performed greenery planting…
Promptly overcoming limitations
At the meeting between PPC’s leaders, heads of some departments and TDM City People’s Committee on 9-month’s socio-economic, defense-security condition and 3-month’s orientations, tasks, leaders of Department of Transportation said, the city needed to set up specific plans to upgrade key roads, and encourage people to implement the urban civilized lifestyle.
Tran Thanh Liem, Standing Vice Chairman of PPC stressed, in addition to completing political missions in 2015, the city needed to immediately execute urban development plans in the short and long term, including promoting urban renovation, especially in alleys, quarters, residential areas.
Besides, the management of urban order in construction works still has shortcomings, illegal constructions. This is a heavy, complicated task requiring a synergy between many sectors to accomplish assigned tasks.
Based on achieved results and limitations in the first 9 months, TDM City People’s Committee put forward 10 task groups, basic solutions to ensure the fulfillment of year-targets. These were: reviewing capital constructions, performing budget collection – disbursement to deploy solutions; urging construction units to accelerate the process; completing land clearance for key project construction as planning; strengthening urban order…
Concluding at the meeting, PPC’s Chairman Tran Van Nam asked TDM City to shorten the time to complete the goal of becoming type-1 urban area by 2020. To achieve this goal, the city needs to accelerate the realization of urban renovation, urban development, urban traffic, taking good care of people’s life. The city should promote dynamism and creativity of previous leaders, implement drastically measures helping the city to overcome difficulties, ensure steady development in order to make Binh Duong province become not only a civilized, modern, environmentally friendly urban area but also a city of people and businesses. |
