The 10th TDM city’s People’s Council for the 2011 and 2016 tenure held its 10th session on the morning of December 16.
Reportedly, TDM city’s socio-economic performance in 2013 continued developing with 12 out of 18 target fulfilled. The city’s economic growth was higher than the year’s plan with 25.1%, or 114% of the resolution set out by the local People’s Council. State budget collection reached nearly VND1.887trillion or 108% of the target allocated by the province. Total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was VND38.5trillion, up 29.7% compared to the corresponding period. Total value of industrial production and construction achieved more than VND10.4trillion…
The city also well realized social welfare policies, took good care of the spiritual and material lives of policy beneficiaries and poor people.
In 2014, the city will bend on removing difficulties to accelerate its economic growth at a reasonable level, shift its economic structure towards services-industry and agriculture, attach special importance to promoting services, especially those with high quality; continue fully making socio-economic infrastructure, promoting urban and service development under a civilized and modern trend.
Particularly, the city will strive to reach an economic growth of 25.9%. Total retail sales revenue of commodities and services will grow by 30.2%. The average income per capita will be VND73.6mln a year. The city will also strive to reduce 50% of the number of poor households under the province’s new poverty line (equivalent to 99 households)…
