In a bid to further build criteria for a "Green City," "Park City" and "Urban Civilized Alleys", Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city aims at completing a target of having 120 parks and gardens in the 2021-2025 period. Additionally, at least 9 wards are expected to meet urban civilized standards, with 97% of quarters and 98% of households achieving cultural status... To date, the city has completed 115 out of the 120 parks and gardens. The city’s urban green space rate has reached 14.62 square meters per person (the target for 2025 is 15 square meters per person). The city’s public green space ratio stands at 5.7 square meters per person (the target for 2025 is 6 square meters per person).
In the coming time, the city will focus on mobilizing resources to invest in breakthrough projects and works that highlight the local urban landscape, increase connectivity and ensure harmonious development between existing urban areas and the new ones under construction.
