Under provincial Party Standing Committee’s Resolution No.17-NQ/TU dated November 14, 2016 on further developing TDM city in the 2016-2020 period and the following years, the city reached major results over the past time, significantly contributing to the urban development of the province.

TDM was recognized as a first-class city under Binh Duong province last year with many traffic projects implemented.

Nguyen Loc Ha, Chairman of TDM city’s People’s Committee said that results done in urban development and construction over the past time is the premise for the city to further perfect and improve the local urban quality in all aspects and well do its urban role with function as an administrative-service-trading-tourism and industrial center of the province in the coming time, contributing to reaching the province’s common goal of “improving people’s spiritual and material living standards towards a civilized, prosperous and beautiful city”.
Attaching special importance to urban construction
In terms of urban rejuvenation, TDM city has to date built 30 parks and is expected to construct additional 35 ones this year. The city has also fulfilled verdure growing on 2 ditch sides and 15 streets; coordinated with Becamex IDC to plant green plants on Binh Duong Avenue…
The city has mobilized people and enterprises to upgrade streets with concrete, asphalt in association with lighting system development for alleys under the motto of “The State and people work together”. In 2017 and in the first three months of 2018, the whole city had additional 129 concrete alleys. The city also mobilized people to make installation of public lighting system for 167 alleys or 89% of total.
In addition, the city has drastically restored urban order, made environmental hygiene and traffic safety. In 2017 and Q1, 2018, the city’s functional agencies inspected and penalized 375 wrong cases on construction order, 1,630 ones on urban order with a total fine of VND2.9billion…
The city’s People Party has also promulgated a plan on the organization of the campaign on “Civilized urban-cultural lifestyle construction” for the period of 2016-2020. Under the project, the city last year reaped some major results.
Such these apart, the city has implemented a campaign against illegal advertising; made socialization of street decoration; mobilized people to take part in planting green trees…The city has also attached special importance to State administration on environment, contributing to building up a greener and cleaner city.
Mr.Ha added that the city will further accelerate the progress of construction of key works under provincial Party Committee’s Resolution No.17 this year. Besides, the city will attach special importance to setting up a list of specific projects, areas to absorb investors while organizing investment promotion forms…
