Early July 31, TDM city’s Farmers Association held a conference to sum up the 7th emulation movement of “Good farmers in production and business” in the period of 2012 and 2014.
The city’s Farmers Association actively promoted the emulation movement among farmers during the 2012 and 2014 period, creating a motivation for them to rise up and enrich themselves. Accordingly, the local Farmers Associations at all levels helped 2,4226 members get nearly VND31.1bln in loan from the city’s branch of the Bank for Social Policies for economic development. They also mobilized members to help each other in terms of loan, agricultural materials and working days with a total value of more than VND4.2bln. Through the emulation movement, 43 farming households escaped poverty.
Over the past three years, the city had a total of 2,504 farming households winning the title of “Good farmers in production and business” at all levels. Among them, 34 were recognized as good farmers at central level.
