Late March 26, the People’s Committee of TDM city forwarded a conference to approve the local report on socio-economic performance, national defence and security in Q1 and implement tasks in Q2 2014.
The city’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services in Q1 was estimated at VND11.234trillion, up 36.7% compared to the corresponding period last year or 22.4% of the year’s plan. Of these, the domestic investment sector grew by 36.7% while the foreign investment sector increased by 19.5%.
Also during the period, the city’s industrial manufacture value reached VND2.657trillion, up 15.9% over last year’s corresponding period or 21.7% of the year’s plan. Of these, the domestic investment sector rose by 19.7% while the foreign investment sector saw a growth of 13.9%.
The city’s total State collection was estimated at VND449.282million or 23.72% of the year’s plan. The city also well realized policies on social welfare, especially took good care of the spiritual and material lives of social policy beneficiaries, children with difficult circumstances…during the traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2014.
In Q2, the city will focus on construction of the phases 2 and 3 of the way to provincial Integrated Administration Center and works allocated capital as planned; promoted localities along with Saigon river to fulfill documents for upgrading their embankments before the rainy season 2014; inspect the exploitation, trading and transportation of the local sand; team up with the People’s Committees of wards to further make inspection tours to the local private preschools…
