TDM city’s People’s Committee has just held a conference to approve the report on the local socio-economic development, national defence-security in the first half of 2014 and implement orientations, tasks in Q3 2014.
In the first half of the year, the city’s total value of trade and services was estimated at VND22.264bln, up 30.6% compared to last year’s same period or 44.% of the year’s plan. Industrial production value reached nearly VND5.217trillion or 42.5% of the year’s plan, up 13% against last year’s corresponding period. Agricultural production reduced by 13.16% over last year’s same period.
In terms of basic construction, the city’s total volume of works implemented reached nearly VND705bln or 85.79% of the year’s plan. Total State collection was VND892.961bln, up 6.52% compared to last year’s same period or 47% of the target set out by the province.
The city also attached special importance to realizing the national target programs on health, education, hunger eradication and poverty reduction. The whole city now has 939 poor households and 1,143 poor-near ones. In the first half of the year, the city created jobs for 3,624 laborers or 60.4% of the year’s plan.
In Q3 2014, TDM city will further hasten compensation, site clearance and construction of key works, including the way to provincial Integrated Administration Center, My Phuoc-Tan-Tan Van expressway, DT741 street; focus on tapping sources of State budget revenue, ensure State budget balance, prevent tax arrears; further clear canals, ditches; strive to complete 100% of the target in 2014’s task calling up for military service …
