TDM’s basic construction works promoted

TDM city has hastened the progress of basic construction works at the local requirements for development.

Projects completed

In 2017, TDM city has carried out a lot of basic construction works, many of which have been completed. Particularly, the work of Le Chi Dan street from So Sao crossroads to Cay Me crossroads with total investment of more than VND221billion is expected for completion in December 2-2017. Or, 90% of the work under Cay Me crossroads with total investment of VND118.6billion has been fulfilled. It is known that construction units are striving to complete the work on schedule.

According to the city’s Management Board of Construction Projects, till now, town-based projects have ensured their progress of construction. The city has also strengthened State administration on basic construction investment.

Duong Thai Khanh, Deputy Director of the city’s Management Board of Construction Projects said that many works have been built when TDM has become a first-class city. Noticeably, the city has put 4 projects into operation, including those of upgrading the way to Nguyen Chi Thanh school, building a multi-functional sports hall for  An My high school, upgrading the city’s Political School and restoring Tuong Binh Hiep village communal house. In addition, 4 other projects are under preparation for checking before acceptance.

In 2017, the city has been assigned implementation of 65 basic construction works with total capital of more than VND756billion. The city’s capital disbursement for these works as of December 7 was more than VND437.5billion. The total volume of these works implemented as of December 31 is estimated at nearly VND729billion or 96.4% of the year’s plan.

Hastening progress of construction

Leader of the city’s Management Board of Construction Projects said that over the past time, the unit tightened control over basic construction works; put focus on removing obstacles in the process of realizing basic construction works…Construction units also seriously executed regulations on basic construction. That’s reason why city-based basic construction works have basically met the set requirements.

However, according to Mr.Khanh, the city’s basic construction investment has also faced shortcomings on legal procedures, compensation-site clearance…for change.

Basic construction investment is considered as one of the city’s major tasks. Accordingly, the city’s People’s Committee will continue directing close control over basic construction works that are under construction, aiming to ensure their quality and progress as approved. These works include Nguyen Trai primary school, Chanh Nghia primary school, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai secondary school, the expanded Bach Dang street…

The city’s People’s Committee has also conducted relevant units to soon fulfill procedures for implementation of basic construction works in 2018, comprising of those of upgrading Nguyen Van Long street, Tran Van On street…
