Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to deploy underground telecommunications cable infrastructure in Binh Duong province in the period of 2017-2020. Accordingly, Vietnam Communication and Technology Corporation (VNTT) was responsible for carrying out the first underground infrastructure invested by Becamex IDC in urban areas, industrial parks.... VNPT Binh Duong was responsible for deploying underground infrastructure in Thu Dau Mot, Ben Cat, Bau Bang, North Tan Uyen and Dau Tieng (except areas assigned to VNTT). Viettel Binh Duong deployed the project in Di An, Tan Uyen and Phu Giao (except areas assigned to VNTT). FPT Binh Duong deployed the project in Thuan An (except for areas assigned to VNTT).
In addition, investors of urban areas, new residential areas, industrial zones ... must invest in common technical infrastructure and create conditions for all telecommunication enterprises to deploy the telecommunication infrastructure and service delivery. To underground infrastructures previously invested but not included in assigned routes and areas, enterprises must continue operating and exploiting them, or may transfer them to enterprises to be in charge of these roads and areas.
The routes and areas for underground infrastructure deployment in the period 2017-2020 are roads in the planning of passive technical infrastructure in Binh Duong province up to 2020 with orientation towards 2025; roads, areas that are included in urban renovation plans or local new routes; roads are in the plan of underground power cables.
