Mangosteen tree has been grown in Thanh Tuyen commune for more than 10 years. The selling price at garden is 50,000 - 55,000 VND / kg, generating profit of tens of millions VND, even more than hundreds of millions VND for each household. Cao Que Anh, a farmer who grows mangosteen in Suoi Cat hamlet, said that mangosteen in the commune had a stable price, because quality of this fruit was good, and their market is quite wide. Besides, mangosteen can be preserved for a whole month without being damaged so farmers can transport their crop to Northern provinces for consumption.

According to the experience of local gardeners, it is very difficult to get a high prize at this competition, because mangosteen must meet many strict standards such as: Mangosteen must be big, beautiful and the color must be bright; Mangosteen must be displayed on shelves, the inner must be white, sweet. Even after having high points from examiners, mangosteen must be taken for biochemical tests to measure pesticide level.
