On 28 Nov, at Provincial Exhibition Conference Center, Vietnam - Germany University (VGU) in collaboration with Asian Urban Research Association (AURA) hosted the 15th International Science Conference on Asian Urbanization with the theme: "Urban future - Significant changes in Asian cities".

Attending the workshop were leaders of Department of Construction, Smart City Office; Frank-Jürgen Richter, Chairman of Horasis; Peter Portheine, member of Binh Duong Smart City Steering Committee; Professor Michael Douglass, University of Hawaii; and many great scholars from the United States, Germany, France, Finland...
At the seminar, international and domestic scholars presented many papers, with topics such as: Climate change and urban adaptation; Feasible urban governance and sustainable urban finance; Smart and worth-living city; Integrated planning and development; Urban renovation and redevelopment....
This was the first time this event was held in Vietnam and its 15th organization (every 2 years since 1985). The event aimed to connect scholars, experts and business managers for sharing and learning experiences in the urbanization process of Asia. The workshop took place in 3 days, from November 27 to November 30, 2019.
