The driving force incurred by major constructions

The key transportation projects of the province that have been put into use are contributing to changing the landscape and opening up many development opportunities for the localities through which the projects pass. It can be seen that the policy of developing infrastructure to connect with neighboring localities such as Ho Chi Minh city, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, and Tay Ninh, especially connecting rural areas, is creating a driving force for Binh Duong's development in the new phase.

Road opened, connection established for development

In the last days of 2024, we returned to the key transportation projects in the province that had just been completed and put into use. Wherever we went, we could easily see the joy of the people living near the projects. Mr. Chau Van Hoa, in neighborhood 3, Phuoc Vinh town, Phu Giao district, shared that just a few days ago, in front of his house were vast rubber plantations and narrow paths for locals to harvest latex and care for the rubber gardens. Now, they have been replaced by the modern, spacious North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang road with 6 lanes. This route significantly changes the rural landscape, making it easier for residents in the area to travel and transport goods. People only take about 30 minutes to go from Phuoc Vinh town to the center of Bau Bang district.

“My family has lived in the area for decades. Since the construction of the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang road, the local people have had better conditions to develop their family economy; many beautiful new houses have been built, and the urban landscape is gradually taking shape in the rural area. The invested transport routes facilitate travel between industrial zones, thereby attracting more businesses to invest here, creating additional jobs and livelihoods for the rural population. I believe the local economy will develop stronger, soon narrowing the gap between rural areas and urban areas,” Mr. Chau Van Hoa said excitedly.

Meanwhile, Mr. Le Van Muoi, from Dong Tam hamlet, Tam Lap commune, Phu Giao district, said that since the completion and use of the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang expressway, life and business activities in his area have become much more bustling than before.

The Bach Dang 2 bridge project has been completed and put into use to promote economic development in Tan Uyen city, Vinh Cuu district (Dong Nai province) and regional connectivity.

Developmental resources opened up

One of the other significant projects that was inaugurated and put into use recently is the Bach Dang 2 Bridge, spanning the Dong Nai River, connecting Bach Dang Commune in Tan Uyen City with Binh Loi Commune in Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province. Talking to us, the residents in the area where the bridge passes expressed their joy, stating that after more than 2 months of using the Bach Dang 2 bridge, they have seen a significant change. The use of the bridge instead of the ferry has saved effort, time, and travel costs; trade between the two banks of the river has also improved significantly compared to before.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi An in hamlet 4, Binh Loi commune, shared that since the Bach Dang 2 bridge connected Bình Dương and Đồng Nai, the people in the commune have been very excited, as travel has become much more convenient and safe, and her family's business activities have also improved compared to before. Sharing in the joy, Mrs. Chau Thi Be, from Bach Dang commune, said that since the Bach Dang 2 bridge was put into use, the people on both sides of the river have been very happy and excited. Residents no longer have to wait for ferries and incur costs as before. Family members and relatives on both sides of the river can now move back and forth more often to visit each other. Vehicles bustling across the Bach Dang 2 bridge create a cheerful atmosphere for the people.

It can be said that, with efforts to accelerate the progress of key traffic projects and works in the province, in 2024 the aforementioned key projects put into use will make an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the province, especially in realizing the policy of "opening roads for development" of the province. In 2025, Binh Duong will continue to focus on mobilizing resources to invest in completing the technical infrastructure of key projects in the area, transportation projects connecting with provinces and cities such as Vanh Dai 3, Vanh Dai 4 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway, and the Saigon River embankment road. These projects are expected to unlock resources to serve the development of the province and the Southeast region.

At the recent 5th meeting of the Steering Committee for the Southeast Region, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Steering Committee for the Southeast Region, praised several localities, including Binh Duong province, for their effective approaches; in particular, the transportation system connections that Binh Duong province has been focusing on investing in. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chính hoped that Bình Dương province would continue to promote the achieved results, and continue to effectively implement key projects and works of the province that connect with localities in the region to unlock development resources for the province as well as the entire Southeast region.
