October 13 has since 2004 chosen as Vietnamese Entrepreneur Day to honor the roles and contribution of entrepreneurs to the society. Through the stages of history, entrepreneurs have affirmed their roles as the major value creators of the economy, who are also the pioneers of industrialization and urbanization along with current nation construction and development.
Being well aware of entrepreneurship in the national development, President Ho Chi Minh right on October 13, 1945 of Democratic Republic of Vietnam sent a letter to industrial and commercial sector to stress: “The industrial and commercial sector should operate to construct an economy of firm financial basis and prosperity – a wealth-off national economy means that business operations of entrepreneurs prosper.”
In fact, the entrepreneur force, throughout the resistance wars and nation construction, has made vital contributions, holding the roles of mass material producer of the economy with merit impacts on the society and enterprise community.
In order to strongly promote the role of entrepreneurs, the CPV and State have also set forth many guidelines and policies for the workforce, specifically, the Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW dated December 9, 2011 of the Politburo on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the stage of promoting industrialization, modernization and international integration. Along with that, society's awareness of entrepreneurs is increasingly clearer and enhanced. Party committees and authorities at all levels have paid greater attention to the development of businessmen.
In Binh Duong, with the motto of favorite policies to invite investment, local authorities and committees have always shown respect for the entrepreneurship, considering the success of businesses and entrepreneurs as the success of their own, consider difficulties of enterprises and entrepreneurs as difficulties of the province. Thereon, it has always accompanied the businesses in the process of production and business operations. The province has concretized guidelines and policies of the CPV and State into mechanisms and policies to support the development of enterprises and entrepreneurs while renewing and improving the effectiveness of State management, creating favorable conditions for businesses and entrepreneurs, especially in the areas of improving the investment environment, reforming administrative procedures, and digital transformation.
Celebrating Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day is an opportunity to keep on affirming the pioneering role of the businesses in the process of promoting the country's industrialization and modernization, to arouse the aspiration of businesses to contribute to concretizing the aspiration and to build a prosperous and happy country under the spirit of the 13th CPV Congress.
