The UK wants to cooperate with Binh Duong in education and artificial intelligence

On the afternoon of November 15, a delegation of the U.K Consulate General and businesses, led by Emily Hamblin, Consul General of the U.K in Ho Chi Minh city worked in Binh Duong province.

At the reception, leader of provincial Department of Foreign Affairs said that as of now, Binh Duong has attracted more than 4,000 FDI projects with total registered capital of nearly US$40 billion. Of these, there are 19 projects with total investment capital of nearly US$ 200 million from UK businesses. This figure is still modest. Hopefully, through this meeting, the two sides will exchange and draw a lot of experience from businesses, making efforts in investment cooperation while finding practical solutions to develop Binh Duong province into a smart city with sustainable development.

Mrs. Emily Hamblin affirmed that the trade relationship between Vietnam and the UK over the past 10 years developed to a new height while believing that with its strength in science and technology, in the coming time, the UK will cooperate strongly with Vietnam in the fields of traffic infrastructure development, renewable energy, waste management and treatment, healthcare... She added that the UK also wants to cooperate with Binh Duong to improve the quality of education, support scholarships for students, promote the development of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and smart city construction, thereby helping the province maintain high growth, improve competitiveness towards sustainable development...
