Improving efficiency of dissemination
Role of collective economy is very essential in the current context. According to the steering board of collective economy, it is essential to have cooperation between agencies, sectors and people in a bid to develop collective economy strongly.
Initially, the steering board well completes the set plans, developing sharply model of collective economy. Accordingly, the steering board has spared no efforts to raise people's awareness on cooperatives; spurred dissemination pilot models, creating wide impacts on the society.
Since the start of this year, the steering board has 47 articles, 84 hours of broadcasting on collective economy dissemination; strengthening cooperation with enterprises to increase competition, effective operation in market economy.
In addition, the steering board offers favorable conditions for cooperatives to rent land lots in a long time to stabilize their production, enjoy preferential loans to develop stably.
According to the steering board, as of Sept. 2014, this city had 21 cooperatives with the participation of 216 members. These cooperatives involve in fields of farming, breeding, service and consist of 13 clubs of 276 members, 30 cooperatives of 13,970 members. Turnover of these cooperative models reaches about VND107.784bil since the start of this year. These cooperatives pay over VND1.8bil to the State budget and help create an average income of about VND4.mil per capita per month.
Typical models expanded
Recently, many local cooperatives restructure production and business, gradually improving operation efficiency and promoting role of economic support and ensuring social welfare. Nguyen Van Hung, chairman of Thu Dau Mot city farmers' society said that collective economic models under the society's management win effective operation. Notably, fish breeding cooperative in Chanh Nghia ward.
These cooperative's products appear across localities such as Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Da Nang and even foreign nations. This model brings a stable income of VND30mil per month. This is the result of scientific management in conformity with market economy.
Vo Tan Kiet, head of the fish breeding cooperative said that this model is very suitable to urban production under the current strong development. The cooperative team's members enjoy transfer of breeding, food for fish and experiences of fish breeding to ensure stable results.
Aside from the done results, development of cooperative teams and cooperatives in this city remains shortcomings. At the working session of the provincial steering board of market economy, deputies said that Thu Dau Mot city should further promote role of collective economy, strengthen operational efficiency of cooperative teams, solve output for agricultural products and simultaneously develop models of planting orchid, breeding fish, planting ornamental trees and more.
Additionally, instead of waiting assistance of functional agencies, cooperatives should affirm their initiatives, renovate thinking and action to lure high quality manpower. The steering board also needs to build and expand pilot models, new style cooperatives, contributing to the city development of socio-economy.
Pham Van Minh, head of the steering board said that in the coming time the steering board will continue to spur dissemination on the Party and State's instructions and policies of collective economy to people, mobilize and encourage establishment of cooperative teams and cooperatives.
At the working session with the steering board, Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People's Committee highly appreciated positive changes of perfecting, spurring operational efficiency of the steering board. Liem noted that the steering board should spur dissemination on collective economy to local people by various forms, attach dissemination to local programs as well as expand effective models, accelerate management, assistance for the sake of sustainable development.
