Under the Resolution of the 10th provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure, the Resolution of the 11th local Party Committee, Thuan An town’s People’s Committee has advised the local Party Committee on building 7 breakthrough programs. They include a breakthrough program on the second-class urban infrastructure investment in association with service development, turning Thuan An town into an urban-service hub after 2020.
Strong investment in infrastructure
In 2015, Thuan An town announced a 1/2000-scale functional zoning plan of wards till 2020 while fulfilling 7 key works, including primary schools of Binh Quoi, Tan Thoi, Ly Tu Trong (phase 2)…The town is also working out 2 works of Thuan Giao secondary school and An Son 1 street.

Nguyen Van Chau, Chairman of Thuan An town’s People’s Committee said that the town in 2015 put focus on implementing the local key works on schedule with total volume of VND415bln or 100% of the Resolution of the local People’s Council. Upon this result, the town’s People’s Committee has advised the local Party Committee on building a breakthrough regarding the second-class urban infrastructure investment in association with service development, turning the locality into an urban-service hub after 2020 under the Resolution of the 10th provincial Party Committee, the Resolution of the 11th local Party Committee.
In 2016, Thuan An town will map out a plan on public investment with VN350bln. There will be 7 key works such as Nguyen Truong To secondary school in Binh Nham ward, cultural-sports central area, land fund for building Lai Thieu market…
According to leaders of the town, the local administration will bend on realizing plans approved; simultaneously check and adjust the 2016 local overall plan on socio-economic development and orientations till 2020; the local overall plan on urban development till 2020 and visions till 2030 towards a green and sustainable urban area with synchronous, modern and environmentally friendly technical infrastructure…
In 2016 alone, the town will effectively execute regulations on public investment and investment socialization in a bid to perfect technical infrastructure for socio-economic infrastructure while concentrating on building key works in accordance with a list set out by the Resolution of the local Party Congress for the 2015-2020 tenure.
Trade-service promoted
Trade-service development is one of major issues belonging to the town’s breakthrough programs under the Resolution of the town’s 11th Party Congress.
The town’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services in 2015 was estimated at VND28.9trillion, a year-on-year increase of 22%. Mr.Chau said that the town’s sector of trade-service reached a robust growth in 2015, contributing to increasing its proportion of value in the local economic structure.
In 2016, the town will further develop services and raise their value in the local economic structure; continue extending support policies to remove difficulties to promote business.
The town will also continue bracing up economic sectors to diversify hi-quality services, especially bring into full play the local potentials to promote eco-tourism development along Saigon river.
