In Thuan An town, 2 people’s credit funds of An Thanh and Lai Thieu are typical units of cooperatives model. Until now, these 2 cooperatives models have attracted the participation of 17,620 members.
An Thanh People’s Credit Fund with 10,419 members contributes to offer loans for members to develop homebased economy while Lai Thieu People’s Credit Fund helps eliminate hunger and reduce poverty by offering incentive loans.
Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, director of An Thanh People’s Credit Fund said that since March 2013 this fund has attached to implementing modern transaction process to meet demand on renewal and transaction for members.
As for transport field, Lai Thieu Transport Cooperatives is an effective model with the participation of 23 members. The Cooperatives has 6 coaches, 13 trucks and wins turnover of nearly VND5bil in the first half of this year.
Many other cooperatives in Thuan An town also promote their efficiency in collective economy model. They include Thanh Binh trade-service cooperatives, Thuan Loi mineral exploitation and processing cooperatives, An Thanh agriculture service cooperatives, An Son farming and breeding cooperatives and more.
Up to now, collective economy model in Thuan An town has been developed widely. Specifically, this town has 10 farmers’ clubs, 22 farming and breeding teams with the participation of nearly 600 members, 9 cooperatives and 2 People’s Credit Funds of about 18,000 participants. Most of these cooperatives and teams promote their results, contributing to develop local socio-economy.
Offering favorable conditions for developing collective economy
In the recent years, Thuan An town always considers collective economy model as one of important economic models, contributing to solve jobs, reduce poverty and improve economic efficiency. Thuan An town steering board of renewal and collective economy development has strengthened the work on launching the Central and provincial authorities’ resolutions, instructions and documents as well as held disseminations to reinforce collective economy models.
Thuan An town also offers favorable conditions to develop collective economy models by solving difficulties in capital, products’ output and more. Therefore, cooperatives and teams uphold sources to develop production and expand operational scale, winning trust and stable income for members and other families. In addition, Thuan An town steering board of renewal and collective economy development creates a bridge for cooperatives and teams to join forces with credit funds in a bid to timely support capital sources for families.
In the coming time, Thuan An town will focus on improving obstacles of developing collective economy models and well implementing action plans on collective economy development. For example, the local authority will exempt land lease fee for new cooperatives in the first period, support fertilizer, species and nurslings to help local people develop collective economy models.
At the recent working session with Thuan An town steering board of renewal and collective economy development, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Tran Thanh Liem noted that Thuan An town should boost up and reinforce operation of Thuan An town steering board of renewal and collective economy development, take advantage of policies of developing collective economy models as well as implement local measures of developing collective economy, especially models of tourism.
