From the beginning of this year, Thuan An Town branch of Social Policy Bank disbursed loans to 2,330 poor households and other policy beneficiaries with total value of VND 102.1 billion; total outstanding loans reached VND 306.6 billion, with 5,728 borrowing households, an increase of VND 33.8 billion or 12.4% compared to 2018, reaching nearly 97% target; total overdue loans were VND 600 million, accounting for 0.19% of total loans. In particular, total loans of credit programs under the Central budget were VND 116,719 billion, accounting for 38% of total loans; total loans of credit programs under fund entrusted by local Social Policy Bank were VND 189,935 billion, accounting for 62% of total outstanding loans.
Credit growth of Social Policy Bank Thuan An Town branch is assessed to be high compared to the average of the whole province, meeting most loan needs of policy beneficiaries in the town. Credit programs at this office earned credit from a large number of people, especially poor households and social policy beneficiaries.
