On July 3, Thuan An town People’s Committee held a preliminary summing up conference on the work on controlling smuggling, fake product and trade fraud in the first half of this year and set out tasks for the remaining months of 2014.
Since the start of this year, Thuan An town checked and solved 46 cases of smuggling, fake product business and trade fraud with the total fine money of over VND6.5bil. Of these, functional agencies found out 39 smuggling cases with the total fine money of over VND220mil, 10 cases of fake product business with the total fine of VND100mil.
In addition, Thuan An town functional agencies solved 413 trade fraud cases with the total fine money of over VND2.1bil and confiscated goods with the total value of nearly VND776mil.
Thuan An town functional agencies target to focus on inspections of banned goods, fake products, poultry transport and slaughtering as well as food safety and hygiene from now till the end of this year.
