Since early this year, Thuan An town has enhanced the implementation of the 11th Thuan An town Party Congress Resolution and the 2016 socio-economic development plan. In particular, the work of capital construction investment has achieved good results.
Early deployment of capital construction plan
Currently, Thuan An town is focusing on promoting infrastructure construction, especially key projects; and mobilizing all resources to accelerate investment process, give priority to projects of transport, rural, tourism infrastructure, health, education and cultural institutions serving people’s needs. In 2016, Thuan An town budgets 350 billion VND for the overall capital construction investment plan.

According to Thuan An town Project Management Board, from the beginning of the year, the town completed 18 items, works using lottery funds, additional provincial budget, town decentralized capital; in which, there were 11 projects being audited, 7 projects being balanced. In addition, 11 works being audited and balanced are: Gia Long street expansion project, roads to Binh Hoa cultural clusters; BN79 road drainage system… This year, the town has 11 construction projects transferred from the year 2015: Binh Hoa kindergarten, Binh Thuan primary school, Thuan Giao 02 street…
Nguyen Van Ut, Deputy Director of Thuan An town Project Management Board, said in the coming time, the unit would focus on solving construction dossiers to soon settle projects. In addition, the town will solve investment dossiers, modify, estimate projects, equipment, civil traffic.
Starting many new projects
Implementing the capital construction investment plan in 2016, Thuan An town completed procedures to start the construction of many important projects in the first quarter. According to Nguyen Van Ut, to gradually better the traffic network in town areas, facilitate the travel needs of the people, in Mar 2016, the town Project Management Board will conduct groundbreaking ceremony of the project to upgrade and expand Hung Dinh 23 road, Thuan Giao 10 road, and An Son 01 road.
The project of upgrading and expanding Thuan Giao 10 road aims to complete the road network within the area, solve water drainage and sanitation problem. This project and the projects of Hung Dinh 23 road, An Son 01 road will create the urban face for Thuan An town. In this Mar, Thuan An town Project Management Board will also start 2 projects of Nguyen Trung Truc secondary school in Hung Dinh ward and Nguyen Truong To secondary school in Binh Nham ward.
Tong Ngoc Khuong, Deputy Chairman of Binh Nham ward People’s Committee, said the Nguyen Truong To secondary school project would be constructed with 28 classes serving 1,260 pupils and 70 officials, teachers to learn and work here, contributing to consolidating the facilities, satisfying teaching and learning needs, ensuring educational quality and efficiency, heightening the school to national standard.
Thanks to implementing the capital construction plan 2016 right from the beginning of the year, and quickly executing transferred projects from 2015, Thuan An town could favorably complete the capital construction investment plan in particular and local socio-economic development plan in general in 2016.
Nguyen Van Ut, Deputy Director of Thuan An town Project Management Board, said Thuan An was one locality achieving strong economic growth and also attracted a large number of people from other places to work and live here. In recent years, local government has take interest in education development tied to building and standardizing many schools. However, the current demands for schooling are still raising. Therefore, the construction of schools is one of the important tasks to release the pressure as well as meet the need for schooling. |
