In 2015, Thuan An town’s agricultural production value in 2015 was estimated at VND285bln, or 100.1% of the Resolution of the local People’s Council.
The town’s total area for perennial trees and annual cultivation was 1,319.6 hectares and 275.3 hectares, down 2.4% and 25.3% compared to 2014, respectively. The town also continued implementing support policies for 1,947 households having orchards with total area of 530.31 hectares and total expense of VND4.249bln under the Decision No.45 of provincial People’s Committee. In 2015, the town had a total of 297 households getting involved in the urban agricultural model, up 154 compared to 2014.
Such these apart, Thuan An town tightened control over diseases in cattle and poultry; opportunely took measures against diseases in them. The local functional agencies also closely controlled the quarantine, transportation, slaughtering and trading of animal products with unclear origin; found and dealt with 36 wrong cases…
