In 2016, Thuan An town’s agricultural production value was estimated at VND267.5billion, down 6.2% compared to 2015.
The town also continued supporting nearly VND4.44billion for 2,029 households with special fruit orchards of 547.72 hectares under the Decision No.45/QD-UBND of provincial People’s Committee; closely controlled over the situation of diseases in poultry and cattle, well realized the quarantine, transport, slaughtering and trade of animals and their products…Through inspection tours, the local functional agencies discovered 65 wrong cases involved in the trade of cattle and poultry with a total fine of VND247.75million.
In 2017, the town will strive to reach VN291.4billion in agricultural production value, up 8.93% compared to 2016. To achieve this target, the town will implement the Program No.07/CTr-TU dated April 15, 2016 of the town’s Party Committee and the Plan No.1216/KH-UBND dated July 22, 2016 of the town’s People’s Committee on developing urban agricultural models, maintaining and improving the quality of orchards in association with tourism development. The town will also continue carrying out the province’s support policy for special fruit orchards for the 2017-2021 period; further maintain and enhance the quality of criteria of An Son newly-rural commune.
