After three years of implementing the local “Program on hi-quality service development in the 2011-2015 period and a vision towards 2020, Thuan An town has reaped a lot of good results.

Meeting requirements for socio-economic development
According to Thuan An town’s People’s Committee, the town’s total value of services constantly went up. It was VND5.75trillion in 2011 and VND9.013trillion in 2014.
With its favorable position, the town is now home to 22 banks’ branches and transaction offices. There are around 45 ATM machines with nearly 36,200 ATM cards issued. The town also sped up capital mobilization and increased banking services at capital demand for the local economic development over the past three years.
Besides, the town’s post-telecommunications infrastructure and services were developed under diversification and modernity at the local demand for integration. Along with large-scale post-telecommunications service centers, the town is now home to 87 post-telecommunications service trading facilities and 361 internet shops. The total number of subscribers in the town is estimated at nearly 53,410.
The town’s services on agricultural production continued reaching a stable growth. The town also sped up the local shift of agricultural structure towards effective urban agricultural models; paid more attention to carrying out support policies for the shift of plant and animal structure; applied sci-tech advancements in production for better results…
Huynh Tan Thanh, Vice-Chairman of the town’s People’s Committee said that over the past three years, the town created a breakthrough in the hi-quality service development program, satisfying requirements for the local socio-economic development and the shift of the local economic structure. The town also paid attention to developing hi-quality houses at experts’ demand for housing at industrial parks. In addition, many other services were on smoothness, facilitating town-based enterprises’ business and production.
Further absorbing investors
According to Mr.Thanh, Thuan An town is implementing a plan on hi-quality service development between 2015 and 2020 with quick, effective and sustainable criteria.
The town will mobilize all resources to promote the local service sector while creating a transparent competitive environment; foster services in a more synchronous, perfect and modern way, continue fully making the mechanism of management for the sector, creating a motivation for the local socio-economic development.
Under the plan, till 2020, the town’s economic structure will be 62.3% in industry-trade, 37.6% in services and 0.1% in agriculture. The town will bend on advocating investors in the process of implementing large-scale projects, including those of Lai Thieu plaza, The Canary-Guocoland in Binh Hoa ward, EcoXuan hi-class residential area…; improve the local structure of imported commodities; further absorb investors and create favorable conditions for them to develop logistic services to well satisfy the local demand for commodity and passenger transportation.
The town will also call for investor to get involved in public transport services; support key traffic works like My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway, Phu Long bridge, Binh Duong Avenue, DT 743 street; attach special importance to meeting the local demand for hi-class houses.
In a bid to effectively carry out the local Program on hi-quality service development in the 2011-2015 period and a vision towards 2020, Thuan An town has created favorable conditions for domestic enterprises to develop trade centers, supermarkets, markets and distribution networks of petrol products and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as planned; brace up business households to develop into modern retail agents or make a mutual coherence to form up shopping malls…, contributing to promoting the local economic development.
