Despite difficulties, Thuan An town’s industrial manufacture has still reached a robust growth, contributing to promoting the local sustainable economic development.
This has also created favorable conditions for the locality to develop into a third-class city by 2015 and the second-class one by 2020 under the province’s orientation.

Production recovered
Truong Cong Thach, Deputy Head of Thuan An town’s Division of Economics said that Thuan An town’s industrial production value in 2014 was estimated at VND69.596bln, up 9% compared to 2013.
Of these, the foreign investment sector reached VND48.149trillion, up 9% against 2013 or 69.2% of total. Some industries of food and beverage, chemicals, electronics, metal products…reached a great proportion in the local industrial production value structure with 18%, 12%, 10% and 6%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the domestic investment sector in the town reached VND21.447trillion in industrial production value, up 9% compared to 2013 or 30.8% of the town’s total industrial production value…
It is known that Thuan An town and town-based enterprises have made efforts in overcoming difficulties. Luong Ngoc Kim, Director of Kim Thanh An Furniture Processing Co.Ltd. in Binh Chuan ward said that thanks to improving production technologies and training human resources in recent years, his company has generated hi-quality products at choosy markets’ requirements. Reportedly, the company’s total revenue in 2014 increased by more than 10% compared to 2013.
Whilst, Thai Van Anh Hung, Director of Hung Thai Wooden Clogs Company in Binh Nham ward said that the company’s number of orders in 2014 grew by 50% compared to 2013. According to him, enterprises will continue reaching a stable growth in 2015 as export markets are being expanded and a large number of orders are shifting to Vietnam.

Huynh Tan Thanh, Vice-Chairman of Thuan An town’s People’s Committee said that along with the State and Party’s sound policies plus its quick urbanization, the town has absorbed many enterprises with effective operation, greatly contributing to promoting the local economic development.
Thuan An town is now home to three industrial parks, namely Vietnam-Singapore, Dong An, Viet Huong and two industrial parks Binh Chuan and An Thanh.
With preferential policies plus the world’s economy on recovery, the town will further lure more investment projects in the coming time. The town now focuses on hi-tech projects to be able to quickly increase the local industrial production value. Town-based enterprises have also managed to expand cooperation in production and business, get access to loans…. With the above efforts, the town’s industrial production value will continue strongly surging in 2015 and the following years.
