Industrial production value up 7.8%
Thuan An town’s industrial production value since early this year has been estimated at VND87.82trillion, up 7.8% compared to last year’s corresponding period. Of the total figure, the domestic investment sector rose up 7.5% while the foreign investment sector saw a growth of 7.9%.
For State-run enterprises, their industrial production value was estimated at VND420billion or 0.5% of the town’s total industrial production value. Non-State enterprises gained VND26.75trillion in industrial production value or 30.4% of the town’s total industrial production value. Especially, foreign enterprises’ industrial production value was estimated at VND60.65trillion or 69.1% of the town’s total industrial production value.
Truong Cong Thach, Deputy Head of Thuan An town’s Division of Economics said that since early this year, the town’s industrial manufacture has continued achieved stable growth. Industries of food processing, garment, electronics, chemicals…have accounted for a great proportion of the town’s industrial production value.
Effective business
Thai Van Anh Hung, Director of Hung Thai Co.Ltd. said that the company’s production and export activities since early this year have been very stable. In the summer, the company is expected to export more than 120,000 pairs of wooden shoes to Europe, Japan, Taiwan…with a total revenue estimated at around US$1.2million.
Whilst, Nguyen Nhat Anh Thu, General Director of Takako Vietnam Co., specialized in manufacturing mechanic components, at Thuan An town-based Vietnam-Singapore 1 Industrial Park (IP), said that since early this year, the company has continued working effectively with the monthly output of 1 million products and the monthly revenue of US$3million. The company’s main export markets, including Japan, U.S, China…, have continued being maintained at quite good growth rate.
According to Tran Tuan Anh, Deputy Head of provincial Ips Management Park’s Office, since early this year, enterprises at Thuan An town-based Ips have worked stably and effectively. In the first five months of the year, the total additional capital of foreign enterprises at Dong An Ip was US$11.5million; Viet Huong Ip, nearly US$3.828…
Possibly speaking, the above results will be the important premise for Thuan An town to fulfill the local socio-economic development plan in 2016.
The town is now home to around 1,285 enterprises in operation; 3 Ips, namely Viet Huong, Vietnam-Singapore, Dong An and 2 industrial compounds.
