Thuan An’s key industries reach rapid growth

Under the Resolution of the 11^th local Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure, Thuan An town in the 2015-2018 period has continued obtaining economic growth. The local economic structure has been shifted in the right direction with 69.5% in industry, 30.36% in trade-service and 0.14% in agriculture.

Thuan An town is now home to 3 industrial parks of 775 hectares, 2 industrial compounds of 113.5 hectares with the rate of land tenancy reaching 100% and there are 4,203 enterprises in operation. The town has given priority to developing hi-tech and environmentally friendly industries.

During the period of 2015-2018, the town’s trade-service sector has gained the annual growth of 23.1%. The town’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services since 2015 has reached more than VND133.2trillion. Over the past three years, the town focused on promoting the local strong services like telecommunications, banking, logistics, real estate trading…The town also paid more attention to market management; effectively realized the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”…Since 2015, the town’s total State budget revenue has been estimated at more than VND10.25trillion…

Huynh Thanh Phuong, Vice-Chairwoman of Thuan An town’s People’s Committee said that under the 11^th local Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure, between 2015 and 2018, the town has fulfilled annual targets with the local economic structure shifted in the right direction; reached high efficiency in mobilizing resources for the local development; attached special importance to making urban rejuvenation and restoring urban order…

Striving to victoriously realize targets

To victoriously realize targets of the 11^th local Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure,  the town will further give support on administrative procedures for enterprises, helping improve their competitiveness for international integration. The town will also continue encouraging enterprises to make investment in industrial parks and compounds; give priority to absorbing hi-tech and environmentally friendly projects; take solutions to remove polluted production facilities from residential areas…

In addition, the town will further strengthen resources for the local trade-service network; create favorable conditions for economic sectors to foster services with hi-economic efficiency; well tap riverside ecotourism; well manage and tap a network of markets and plazas; promote trade-service in association with ensuring order-security, food safety and environmental hygiene.

The town will also well realize State budget management; boost socio-technical infrastructure investment under the 2016-2020 mid-term public investment plan, with focus on works, comprising of Lai Thieu market, the town’s Cultural-Sports Center. Especially, the town will tighten control over the local urban development process as planned; intensify a task of making urban rejuvenation, restoring urban order and strive to fulfill criteria of a second-class city. The town will also well realize solutions against urban flooding; boost management over construction order, infrastructure investment for the local urban development.

Noticeably, the town will hasten the progress of implementation of residential areas; opportunely handle projects that are not feasible…
