Thuan An town saw a sharp increase in the quality and quantity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) over the past years.
Especially, since 2012, there has been a considerable increase in the number of SMEs registering for establishment. In 2011, the town absorbed 2,405 SMEs and the figure was 2,746 in 2012 with the annual average growth of 14.18%.
There was also a sharp increase in the number of laborers in the town over the past years. In 2011, the number of laborers herein was 19,767 and the figure was 22,668 in 2012 with the annual average growth of 14.67%.
Such these apart, the town-based SMEs reached a sharp increase in the amount of investment capital. Their total registered capital in 2012 was estimated at more than VND1.73bln, up 63.61% compared to that of 2011 (equivalent to nearly VND1.06trillion). On average, each SME was developed with VND4.24bln in capital.
